This unique event begins at 8:00 at night and continues to 7:00 the next morning. About two hundred young people begin the evening with an educational presentation followed by a variety of activities from ice skating, and basketball, to “extreme games”, a talent contest and a scavenger hunt.
The Lock In is open to youth programs from throughout the area. Each group is invited to bring 20 youth (age 13 to 18) to the event. This year the Jam will be held on February 20-21, 2012 at the Freeport Recreation Center. Our thanks to the Nassau County Bar Association We Care Fund and the Freeport Recreation Center for their generous support of The O.P. 8-2-8 Jam.
